Laguna BelAir School (LBAS) Admission Policy
LBAS admits students of any race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and national or ethnic origin and accords to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at school. It does not discriminate on the aforesaid bases in the administration of its policies on education and admissions.
Students with exceptionalities will be admitted based upon the school’s ability to meet their educational needs. Applicants are admitted and retained on the basis of their ability to meet the academic, moral, and behavioral standards of the school.
Admission is open to all students who meet all the academic requirements and has none of the disqualification prescribed by the school and by the Department of Education (Dep Ed).
The school reserves the right to make the final decision in all cases after thorough study and deliberation. The right is reserved to refuse admission to any applicant who does not meet the admissions requirements. The right is also reserved to determine the placement of an accepted applicant in the grade level or subjects deemed most appropriate for the student’s success.
Preschool
NURSERY:
1. The enrollee must be 3years and 6 months old by June of the coming school year.
2. The enrollee must pass the initial interview with the Guidance Counselor / Psychometrician.

1. The enrollee must be at least 4 years and 6 months old by June of the coming school year.

Grade School and High School
The Grade School and High School Departments admit students whose academic background show ability and readiness to take on academic challenges and who satisfy academic requirements prescribed by the Department of Education(Dep Ed) or by the school authority for foreign applicants.
Admission is based on valid requirements submitted to the Registrar’s Office and results of examination given by the Guidance Counselor / Psychometrician.
Applicants will be admitted only on the next higher level or to the equivalent level for foreign students based from Dep. Ed guidelines.
Admission of new applicants and transferees are open only up to third year high school because of the continuity of the subjects under the Science Curriculum, such as the Science Research, Chemistry, and Physics.
The Admissions Committee evaluates the following when considering an applicant for admission:
• Entrance test results.
• Academic records from a current or most recent school.
• Recommendation from a current or most recent school.
• Certificate of Good Moral Character
Entrance Test
Entrance tests and interviews are scheduled by batch per level throughout the year by appointment. The entrance tests will be scheduled only when the complete application requirements have been submitted.
To accommodate students who did not pass the entrance test, a cut-off score for academic probationary will be applied. There will be an agreement between the parents and the school regarding the academic and behavioral conditions to be satisfied by a probationary student.
The passing rate for Elementary : 50% Probationary: 40% - 49%
The passing rate for 1st – 2nd Year High School : 60% Probationary: 50% - 59%
The passing rate for 3rd Year High School : 70% Probationary: 60% - 69%
For those who did not pass the entrance test, the requirements can be pulled out and can re-apply the following school year. New academic records, and confidential recommendation forms are required to be submitted for the second application and must pay again the application fee.
Admission Procedure
1. Secure an application form from the Registrar’s Office and submit the following requirements:
a. original copy and one photocopy of birth certificate with register number (nursery applicants must be at least 3½ years of age by June)
b. Scholastic Performance Record (Photocopy of report card)
c. two 2” x 2” colored I.D. pictures
d. Accomplished Recommendation form (2 pcs.)
e. Certificate of Enrollment (Preschool and Primary) /Certificate of Good Moral Character from previous school (Grade 4 - Third Year HS)
f. Original copy of passport (for non-Filipino applicants)*
g. ACR (Alien Certificate Registration)*
h. SSP (Special Study Permit)*
*Applicable to Foreign students only
2. Fill out the form completely and accurately and present it to the Admission Office for verification.
3. Pay the application fee and test processing fee at the Accounting Office. The fee is non-refundable.
4. Present the official receipt of the payment to the Registrar’s Office and secure an examination permit.
5. Secure from the admission officer 2 copies of the recommendation form to be accomplished by the Guidance Counselor and
Adviser of the applicant's former school.
6. Come back for the admission test on the schedule specified in the examination permit.
